Over the last few years, the world has gone mad. The pandemic broke some people irrevocably, and big tech re-inforces the madness to keep people at each other’s throats.
Find your zen as the world burns was my first idea for Unwoke Art: A meditating figure sitting in front of a city that’s burning. During the 2020 riots, the fire burning down the cities was literal to the tune of $2 billion of property damage.
But just because the riots ended doesn’t mean the fire did.
Today, the fire exists in the tribes who are constantly fighting, on the big tech platforms that algorithms that create toxicity, and in the outrage addicts that are constantly seeking reasons to be miserable rather than to seek joy.
You don’t have to give in and join the mob. You can always find your own personal zen, even when the world is losing their minds around you.
